I had a strange thing happen to me just a few moments ago. I had a thought. It occured to me why some of us that hit that *just past the middle age* milestone can no long think or remember basic things. Or when we are talking or doing something, we suddenly forget what we are talking about or what we are doing.
We’ve gone our entire lives putting memories and thoughts into our brains. That’s always worked so well. We think it. Our brains usually remember it. We stuff hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of thoughts and memories into our brains. But what happens when our brains run out of space? It’s not like our brains will grow or expand. Once those babies are full, they are full. If we want to keep adding thoughts or memories, something has to go.
And go they do!
Take the instance when John was looking for the battery charger. I told him it’s right there. He was sitting at his desk, in his chair, and looked all over the desk for that charger. He looked in drawers. He looked under the desk, beside the desk. I kept telling him, it’s right there. He couldn’t see it. He must have looked for ten minutes, trying to find it. Finally, he saw it. It was maybe six inches away from him the entire time, in plain site. (men)
That’s my point! After so many years of his brain remembering this and that, it simply ran out of room to be able to remember what a battery charger looked like. So even though it was only six inches away from him and in plain site, he couldn’t see it because his brain forgot what it looked like.
The other morning I woke up and for whatever reason the first thing that came to my mind was one if by land, two if by sea. And my brain immediately went to thinking of … of… I could not for the life of me remember his name, the traitor. I was beside myself, telling myself I have known this my entire life, how could I forget the name of the traitor? So I tried thinking of his initials, what did his name start with? I couldn’t even remember that! It was about two hours later when I finally remembered, Benedict Arnold.
My poor brain knew it was about to turn 46, and it had so many thoughts stuffed into it over the years, that it simply had to squeeze some of them out in order to make room for new thoughts. That’s why we can’t remember basic things. We simply run out of room in our brains. That’s my excuse anyway.

How’s that for a title? That’s what happens when I don’t really have a title and just sort of make something up as I type. Scary, huh.
I thought I would do what I always do, talk to myself (and answer myself) but take it one step further and (gasp!) share with my adoring fans what I am doing kind of as I am doing it. Why? I don’t know but it seemed like a fun thing to do, so here I am.
So, a few days ago I bought this wonderful new toy (I love new toys) called DL Guard. The main thing it does is to protect downloads (imagine that, with a name like DL Guard). Anyway, it takes a wee bit of tweaking and stuff for each file I want to list on it for sale and then uploading the PDF to the system. It’s really cool. Once I get each file uploaded and on DL Guard, it’s just one sweet automated process when someone buys a report, an ebook, or PLR content from me. There are some other nifty perks too. I can set how many times the buyer can download and how long they have to download, so that cuts down on worrying about someone buying my product and then sending the download link to ten thousand friends.
And tonight I am (finally) moving eight files from E-Junkie.com, who I was using to host the files and take payments. It’s a slow process only because I have to pretty much redo every file and add the new payment method. But once it’s done, it’s all automated. That frees me up from having to find the file and email it to the buyer. I can spend my work time working and creating new products to sell instead of having to take time out to find a file. Yay!
In the next few days, I will be getting some more lovely new toys to play with. The first is a wonderful plugin of sorts that works with Photoshop. I am getting into the Graphic Design business. Funky, huh? Yeah, I thought so too. Who knew? I know I didn’t! So this new toy has all the bells and whistles to do some really spectacular work. It works with Photoshop CS2, CS3, and CS4. After I get the new plugin toy, I will be getting the all new sweet as it sounds Photoshop CS4 (I have CS2 but I’m moving on up, to the top…).
Once I have those two items, I will be getting a program for video making and editing. A few weeks ago, a friend who has an internet marketing blog was mentioning how she got this new program to do her videos, making them extremely high definition. She just wanted it for the HD effect and the ability to do presentation type videos. I didn’t think much about it, since I’m not one for being in front of the camera except for family and friends. Well, as fate would have it, off the wall a couple of nights ago we decided to check this program out, weeks after having heard about it. They have a trial version, so we both downloaded it. I played with it for a few minutes and discovered it has a video editing feature where I could add not only photos and edit them, but also import audio. To say this is cool would be putting it mildly.
The fun part of getting these new toys is that none of this stuff is cheap. It’s going to cost me a wing dinger. But it’s an investment into our future. Plus my income has majorly increased after about three months of barely making it.
One amazing thing about all of this is that if someone had told me six months ago that I would be doing any of this as part of my work at home thing, I would have laughed at them. I had no idea whatsoever how to go about doing video making and video editing. I had virtually no idea how to do anything that resembled graphic designing other than basic blah banners. It’s totally amazing how, when one door closes, God will always open another. And the awesome thing here is that He didn’t just open one door, He opened a lot of them!

Cindy and John, The Life and Times of Cindy and John, Teddy Bears Extraordinaire is alive! After months of having this domain name to do something with, we finally kicked our furry bear hineys and built this adorable blog during the night. Adorable teddy bears surely must have an adorable teddy bear blog. It’s some kind of a teddy bear rule.
Here’s a cute and adorable teddy bear that wants to be adopted. Did I mention we run a teddy bear adoption service? No? Hey guess what!! We run a teddy bear adoption service…
Mohair Teddy Bear with Hot Water Bottle 1908 Replica Plush

This Teddy bear can tell a truly eventful story: In 1906, an extremely harsh winter fell on the city of Berlin and covered it in snow – and as we all know, necessity is the mother of invention, a Teddy bear was converted into a holder for a hot-water bottle in order to bring a little warmth into the cold days with extremely low temperatures. In March 1907, this hot-water bottle bear, in whose tummy a hot-water bottle made of metal was hidden that could be filled with hot water, was entered by Steiff as a registered design. The friendly Teddy bear with the wide open, boot-button eyes that look out into the world has a friendly as well as pragmatic nature and is made of light brown mohair and stuffed with wood shavings. On the inside – where the hot-water bottle is found – he has a lining made of felted wool. Whereas this special Teddy bear was produced in 2001 with a size of 50 centimeters, the replicas of this edition have an impressive size of 58 centimeters in a Limited Edition of 1,908 pieces. Each of these “warm-hearted” bears also “bears” the Steiff underscored “Button-in Ear” made of patinated steel. Limited edition of 1,908 pieces.
